In Rouen

Once in Rouen, and after few hours of sleep to recover, take the time to visit the medieval city center and walk the narrow streets between the city hall (Hotel de Ville), the nearly 1000-year-old cathedral that was dear to Monet at the end of the 19th century, the Gros-Horloge, the 500-year-old Court house (Palais de Justice) that still shows the damages of WWII and the Vieux-Marché square (place du vieux marché) where Jeanne of Arc was burnt alive in 1431.

In Summer, do not miss the light show on the Cathedral’s facade.
